“Houston, we have a problem!” To continue a thread from last month’s inspirational Apollo observations, I feel it’s necessary to announce that many of our young professionals don’t know the iconic movie quote or the story of Apollo 13. That problem will have to wait until a future month, because this month features another cultural artifact, a reader submitted a story inspired by one of the great early pilot authors. 

Other cultural references include famous robots (AI) from the past.

If I had room, I would have introduced fine art as well, but since I don’t, let me recommend The Empty Desk at the SFTE-EC website (the old one).
